The race continues!

Premier League MW 14

Newcastle 1 vs. 1 Norwich

Clark was sent off in the 9th minute for Newcastle to put them on the back foot early on. Wilson did get the led for Norwich in the 61st minute via a penalty. Pukki grabbed the equaliser in the 79th minute for Norwich as both teams had to settle for the point. Newcastle remain bottom of the table without a win as Eddie Howe’s challenge mounts up. Norwich remain 19th but are unbeaten in four games and 3 points from safety. 

Leeds 1 vs. 0 Crystal Palace

This game was heading for another draw but Palace once again dropped points in the final minutes. Raphinha got the winner via a penalty in the 94th minute. Leeds move up to 15th with a big win while Palace remain 11th but now winless in their last three games. 

Southampton 2 vs. 2 Leicester

Bendarek gave Southampton the lead in the 3rd minute but Evans equalised for Leicester in the 22nd minute. Adams regained the lead for Southampton in the 34th minute but Maddison equalised for Leicester once again in the 49th minute. Southampton drop down to 16th now winless in their last three while Leicester remain 10th in the table. 

Wolverhampton 0 vs. 0 Burnley

Neither team could grab the winner in this game as they both settled for a goalless draw. Wolves drop down to 8th in the table while Burnley remain 18th but have now drawn their last three games and sit 3 points from safety with a game in hand.

West Ham 1 vs. 1 Brighton

Soucek scored in the 5th minute while Brighton finally equalised in the 89th minute via Maupay. West Ham remain 4th in the table a point above Arsenal while Brighton remain 9th in the table. 

Everton 1 vs. 4 Liverpool

Henderson scored in the 9th minute and Salah scored in the 19th minute to give Liverpool a 2 goal lead early on. Gary got one back for Everton in the 38th minute as they began to grow into the game towards half time. Salah grabbed a third in the 64th minute and Jota made it four in the 79th minute. Everton remain 14th but have now lost 4 of their last five games and haven’t won in a while with Benitez under pressure. Liverpool remain 3rd in the table with the 3 points 2 points behind Chelsea. 

Aston Villa 1 vs. 2 Man City

Dias and Silva scored in the 1st half to give City a 0-2 lead. Villa got one back before half time as well via Watkins. Neither team scored in the 2nd half as Villa were much improved but the damage had already been done. Villa remain 13th in the table but Gerrard loses his first game in charge of the club. City remain 2nd in the table and a point behind Chelsea. 

Tottenham 2 vs. 0 Brentford

Conte and Spurs bounce back in this London Derby as Canos scored an own goal in the 12th minute and Son scored in the 2nd half to seal the win. Tottenham move up to 6th in the table 2 points from top four with a game in hand. Brentford remain 12th in the table with the loss. 

Man United 3 vs. 2 Arsenal

Smith Rowe gave Arsenal the lead in the 13th minute after Fred had injured De Gea on a corner and Smith Rowe finished into an empty net. Fernandes got the equaliser for United in the 44th minute and Ronaldo gave United the lead in the 52nd minute. Odegaard then equalised for Arsenal in the 54th minute but Odegaard conceded a penalty in the 70th minute and Ronaldo stepped up to give Arsenal the lead once again and seal the three points for them. United move up to 7th in the table as Carrick leaves the club with an unbeaten record. Carrick decided to resign after the game was over. Arsenal remain 5th in the table but once again falter against the bigger teams. 

La Liga Game in hand

Benzema scored the only goal of the game in the 40th minute as Real Madrid got three big points against Bilbao. Real Madrid go 7 points clear at the top of the table but the teams around them still need to play their games in hand as well.

Serie MW 15

Atalanta beat Venezia 4-0, Juventus beat Salernitana 0-2, Inter beat Spezia 2-0, Bologna beat Roma 1-0, Napoli drew with Sassuolo 2-2, Milan beat Genoa 0-3, and Udinese drew with Lazio 4-4 with a player getting sent off in each team. Napoli remain top of the table by a point while Milan, Inter, and Atalanta make up the top four. Roma sit 5th 6 points from 4th while Juventus sit 7th. Lazio sit 9th in the table. Italy is it’s normal entertaining self at the moment but Mourinho is struggling at the moment in Rome. 

Ligue MW 16

Monaco beat Angers 1-3, PSG drew with Nice 0-0, Marseille beat Nantes 0-1, Lille beat Rennes 1-2, and Reims beat Lyon 1-2. PSG remain 11 points clear at the top of the table with Marseille, Rennes, and Nice making up the top four. Monaco move up to 7th with the win while Lyon sit 10th. Lille move up to 12th with the win. The only way this league gets exciting is if PSG go on a poor run but that is a very big IF.
