Premier League MW 16

Crystal Palace 1 vs. 1 Leicester

Zaha scored in the 58th minute and it looked like Palace would hold on for the win but Leicester managed a late goal through Barnes in the 83rd minute to gain a point from the game. Palace drop down to 15th in the table with the point while Leicester remain 3rd with the point. 

Everton vs. Man City

The match was called off due to Covid cases in the Man City squad. 

Brighton 0 vs. 1 Arsenal

Lacazette scored in the 66th minute as Arsenal made it 2 wins in 2 and continued a mini resurgence against Brighton. Brighton had several chances but failed to convert any of them. Arsenal climb up to 13th in the table. 

Burnley 1 vs. 0 Sheffield United

Mee scored in the 32nd minute to seal the win for Burnley and continue their rise up the table. Sheffield United lose yet another game as they get closer to going half a season without a win. Burnley move up to 16th 5 points clear from the relegation zone. 

Southampton 0 vs. 0 West Ham

The two teams shared the draw without being able to break the other team down. Southampton and West Ham remain where they are with the point. 

West Brom 0 vs. 5 Leeds

Sawyers scored an own goal in the 9th minute to initiate the thrashing and then Leeds took it from there. Alioski, Harrison, and Rodrigo scored in the 1st half while Raphinha added the 5th in the 2nd half. West Brom remain 19th while Leeds move up to 11th in the table. 

Man United 1 vs. 0 Wolverhampton

In what was a close game United had the rub of the green again as Rashford scored the winner in the 93rd minute to gain 3 points for Ole and co. The win takes United up to 2nd, 3 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand. Wolves drop down to 12th in the table with the loss. 

Tottenham vs. Fulham

The game was called off due to positive Covid cases in the Fulham squad.

Newcastle 0 vs. 0 Liverpool

Newcastle managed to defend well and gain a deserved point against Liverpool who couldn’t break the Magpies down. Newcastle drop down to 14th with the point while Liverpool remain top but only by 3 points as the rest try to catch up. 

La Liga MW 16

Sevilla beat Villarreal 2-0, Barcelona drew with Eibar 1-1, Atletico beat Getafe 1-0, Real Madrid drew with Elche 1-1, and Real Sociedad beat Bilbao 0-1. Atletico stay top of the table 5 points clear of the rest with games in hand while Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, and Sevilla right behind them. Barcelona sit 8th in the table. Barcelona are struggling while Atletico continue to sit in a position of strength.
