Some big results!

Premier League MW 14

Crystal Palace 0 vs. 7 Liverpool

It was a thrashing of epic proportions as Liverpool ramped up their gears to beat Palace. Minamino, Mane, and Henderson scored over the course of the game while Firmino and Salah added 2 each to the scoreline. Liverpool go 4 points clear at the top of the table as the rest begin to play catch up while Palace drop down to 13th in the table. 

Southampton 0 vs. 1 Man City

Stertling scored in the 16th minute against a tough Southampton side and that was it as Pep held onto the goal and City won. Southampton drop down to 7th in the table with the loss while City move into 8th with the 3 points. 

Everton 2 vs. 1 Arsenal

Holding scored an own goal to give Everton the lead in the 22nd minute. Pepe scored in the 35th minute via a penalty to bring Arsenal back into the game but Mina regained the lead in the 45th minute for Everton. Neither team could add to the scoreline in the 2nd half as Everton continued their winning streak. Everton climb into 4th with the win while Arsenal remain 15th, 4 points above the relegation zone as things continue to heat up. 

Newcastle 1 vs. 1 Fulham

Ritchie scored an own goal to give Fulham the lead in the 42nd minute while Wilson scored a penalty in the 64th minute to get Newcastle back into the game. Andersen got a red card in the 62nd minute but Fulham managed to get the point. Newcastle move into 12th with the point while Fulham remain 18th and 2 points from safety. 

Brighton 1 vs. 1 Sheffield United

Bogle scored in the 63rd minute to give Sheffield United the lead even after Lundstram had been sent off early in the 40th minute for the Blades. Welbeck ruined Sheffield United’s hope of getting their first win as he scored in the 87th minute for Brighton. Brighton drop down to 17th in the table, 2 points above the relegation zone while Sheffield United remain bottom of the table but get 2 points on the table. 

Tottenham 0 vs. 2 Leicester

Vardy scored right before half time via a penalty to ruin Spurs game plan and force them to play football. Alderweireld then scored an own goal in the 59th minute to seal the win for Leicester and deal Mourinho and Spurs their 2nd defeat in a row. Tottenham go from 2nd to 6th with the loss while Leicester rise up to 2nd with the win. Very close at the top of the table and the only team that hasn’t got the memo is Liverpool. 

Man United 6 vs. 2 Leeds

This was always going to be a close game or a big win for United and Leeds openness and United’s clinical finishing meant that United thrashed Leeds. McTominay scored 2 goals in the first 3 minutes to get a lead while Fernandes and Lindelof got goals to make it 4-0 by the 40th minute. Cooper scored in the 42nd minute to get Leeds into the game, barely. James, and Fernandes added 2 more in the 2nd half while Dallas got one more back for Leeds. United beat their great rivals to move into 3rd while Leeds drop down to 14th with the loss.

West Brom 0 vs. 3 Aston Villa

El Ghazi scored a goal in the 5th minute to give Villa the lead and Livermore was sent off in the 37th minute for West Brom. Allardyce still had West Brom in the game though but Traore and El Ghazi got two late goals to seal the win for Villa. West Brom remain 19th in the table, 5 points from safety while Villa climb into 9th in the table.

Burnley 2 vs. 1 Wolverhampton

Barnes scored in the 35th minute while Wood scored in the 51st minute as Burnley took a 2-0 lead over Wolves. Silva got a late penalty against Wolves and that was it. Burnley continue their resurgence in recent weeks as they climb up to 16th in the table 3 points above the relegation zone while Wolves drop back down to 11th in the table with the loss.

La Liga MW 14

Atletico beat Elche 3-1, Barcelona drew with Valencia 2-2, Levante beat Real Sociedad 2-1, Sevilla drew with Valladolid 1-1, and Real Madrid beat Eibar 1-3. Atletico remain top of the table but level on points with Real Madrid while Sociedad, Villarreal and Barcelona make up the top 5. Sevilla sit 7th while Valencia sit 13th in the table. La Liga much like many other leagues is interesting this season and it looks like Real Madrid are returning to form.

Serie A MW 13

Juventus beat Parma 0-4, Milan beat Sassuolo 1-2, Inter beat Spezia 2-1, Atalanta beat Roma 4-1, while Lazio beat Napoli 2-0. Milan, Inter, Juventus, Napoli and Roma make up the top five while Milan stay a point clear of 2nd. Atalanta and Lazio sit 7th and 8th. It’s good to see all the top teams in and around the top 10 as everyone feels that they have a chance at the title.

Bundesliga MW 13

Union Berlin beat Dortmund 2-1, Hoffenheim beat Monchengladbach 1-2, Leipzig drew with Koln 0-0, and Bayern beat Leverkusen 1-2. Bayern are the big winners going into the German winter break as they sit top of the table and 2 points clear of Leverkusen. Leipzig and Wolfsburg make up the top four while Dortmund sit 5th in the table. Monchengladbach sit 8th. Bayern once again make a gap on the rest as the other team’s struggle to get a win.

Ligue 1 MW 16

Marseille drew with Reims 1-1, Lyon beat Nice 1-4, Monaco beat Dijon 0-1, Rennes beat Lorient 0-3, and PSG drew 0-0 with Lille. Lille remain top of the table on goal difference with Lyon in 2nd. PSG drop down to 3rd a point from the top while Marseille sit 4th. Rennes sit 5th while Monaco sit 7th in the table. Ligue 1 looking interesting at the moment while PSG falter at the early stages of the season.
