Midweek Football Preview

The festive period is in flow!

Premier League MW 15

Bournemouth vs. Huddersfield

Bournemouth and Huddersfield will look to return to winning ways as the league games come thick and fast. Bournemouth are 9th in the table while Huddersfield are 17th. Bournemouth have been the better team by far and while Huddersfield did well to climb up the table Bournemouth are more likely to seal the three points in this game.

Brighton vs. Crystal Palace

Brighton and Palace had good wins during the weekend as they look to continue their positive runs. Brighton are 11th while Palace are 14th and since Brighton are at home I always favour them to get a point or more from this game. Palace have done well but away from home they have been suspect.

West Ham vs. Cardiff

West Ham and Cardiff both added three points at the weekend. West Ham have hit a good patch of form while Cardiff have done the same as they sit 13th and 16th respectively. The teams have done well and it should be a close game of football.

Watford vs. Man City

Watford have been poor in recent weeks and while they are at home there will be only one winner and that is City.

Burnley vs. Liverpool

Burnley lost to Palace at the weekend while Liverpool just managed to get over the line against Everton. Liverpool have been lucky in getting their points in recent weeks and while Burnley could cause an upset Liverpool will most likely get three points.

Everton vs. Newcastle

Everton and Newcastle both lost at the weekend but not in the same manner. Everton have done well and while Newcastle had been in a good patch of form Everton should get a point or more in a close game.

Fulham vs. Leicester

Ranieri continues his meetings with former clubs as Leicester visit him, where he probably achieved his most memorable moment in football. Ranieri has a tough task on his hands but Fulham were not extremely poor against Chelsea and while Leicester have done well in recent weeks Fulham have the home advantage and a chance to seal three more points.

Man United vs. Arsenal

The highlight of midweek football as struggling United take on high flying Arsenal. To say United did well to comeback and gain a draw against Southampton would be a unjust statement because United should really be winning those games. Arsenal were brilliant against Spurs and showed why they should be taken seriously this season and while they are away I can only see one winner and that is Arsenal. Mourinho will try to make it interesting and probably park the bus and I seeing how lucky they are I would not put it past Fellaini to grab a point or more for the Red Devils.

Tottenham vs. Southampton

Tottenham have a quick fix to their thrashing at the weekend with a chance to add three easy points against managerless Southampton. Mark Hughes was sacked on Monday and Southampton will be looking to gain some sort of new manager bounce in the coming weeks. Tottenham though should easily win this game.

Ligue MW 16

Monaco travel to Amiens, Montpellier play Lille, Marseille travel to Nantes, Lyon play Rennes, and PSG travel to Strasbourg. PSG will be looking to return to winning ways while Montpellier and Lille is a top four clash.
