Chelsea vs. Liverpool MW 7 Preview

Can Chelsea make it two out of two against Liverpool?

After an entertaining game between second string sides at Anfield midweek, Chelsea entertain Liverpool’s starting XI in the league this week. While getting the win at Anfield was great, this game is more important and handing Liverpool their first defeat in the League this season would really be a statement from Chelsea.

The Liverpool side that comes to the Bridge will be fuelled by revenge for their defeat midweek and play with 5 times more intensity than that team as well. Chelsea also rested several players and we should have an energetic starting XI as well not to mention an Eden Hazard in the form of his life. Chelsea entertain Videoton at the Bridge midweek in the Europa League which should be an easy win while Liverpool travel to Napoli to play in the Champions League.

Chelsea need to deal with Liverpool’s press we could not cope with it in the second half although if we can manage it and be clinical with our chances on goal then we could easily make it 2 wins out of 2 for the week, let’s not forget the fact that we beat Liverpool 1-0 at the Bridge last season when no one gave us a chance.

Chelsea Team Preview

Question marks remain over the availability of Rudiger, Christensen, and Loftus Cheek for the game although the rest of the squad should be ready to select from. All the players that have regularly played in the League should be back for this game.

Liverpool Team Preview

Liverpool have some late decisions to make of their own as Van Dijk, Milner, and Mane were missing from training yesterday. The other players should return for the game in what will be a sterner test for the blues.
